BSI and UKBIMA South Webinar on ISO-19650-3UK BIM Alliance South group are proud to announce a collaboration with BSI to bring to you an introduction to the new International BIM Standard - ISO 19650 Part 3 which sets out the information management process for the operational phase of the asset life-cycle. Speakers include a case study presentation along with Dan Rossiter and Rob Hine from the BSI talking about ISO 19650-3 - more speakers will be announced as they are confirmed. Register today What are the ISO 19650 standards? ISO 19650 are a series of international BIM/digital delivery standards. It defines the collaborative processes for the effective management of information throughout the delivery and operational phase of assets when building information modelling (BIM) is being used. This will be an opportunity to understand this new standard that examines the operational stage of an asset.

BIM Execution Planning (Session 2)
The second session on BIM Execution Planning following on from our previous event last year. Following several requests we have pulled together this 2 part session that looks at BIM Execution Plans and the requirements for this vital document. We will also look at the industry adoption of these documents and processes as we approach a year since the Government BIM Level 2 mandate.
If you did not attend the previous session on BIM Execution Plan do not worry as we will be doing a full recap of this session as an intro to the meeting.

Winter Warm Down and BIMChat
The next BIM Region South meeting will be an informal winter warm down where you can enjoy a few #BIMBeers or #BIMojito's and discuss all things BIM.
We have been able to organise the next South BIM Region get together for this Wednesday the 30th November at the Westgate pub in Winchester. As the Christmas break approaches Mike and Allister on behalf of the South BIM Region would like to invite you to celebrate the end of 2016 and look forward to 2017 together in an informal setting.
Following this we will be looking to arrange next year’s full calendar of BIM sessions so if you have any ideas for things you would like to see or if you would like to present anything in the future then please let us know.
Please come and join us usual time from 6pm to 8pm at the Westgate pub

BIM Execution Planning

Practical Implications of BIM Level 2 in delivering a project

Building Information Modelling for design teams
April 2015 Meeting Wednesday 29th April 2015 | 6.00pm - 8.00pm Eldon Building | Portsmouth University | Portsmouth The South BIM Hub is pleased to announce that the next Hub will be focused on how design teams collaborate on BIM projects. Case studies from across industry will be presented to assist design team consultants to understand and plan how to work on BIM projects, including benefits and challenges. This exciting event will also be held at Portsmouth University, announcing the start of a relationship to engage students within the architecture and engineering schools. February 2015 Meeting Thursday 5th February 2015 | 6.00pm - 8.00pm Mitchell Room | Elizabeth II Court | Hampshire County Council | Winchester The South BIM Hub is preparing for the free BIM Implementation workshop planned for the 5th February in Winchester, as part of this we will be dissecting the ‘8 pillars of BIM’ together to examine what the Government’s BIM Level 2 looks like for the upcoming 2016 deadline. All centrally funded projects from the Government will be required to meet the Level 2 documentation that has been published to date. We hope that this session will be invaluable to assist you to start thinking about how your organisation can take advantage of some early planning for clients who will be requiring this next year. We are also pleased to announce that Richard Lane (BIM Task Group) will joining us to give a short talk on BIM implementation and the BIM Task Groups work to date plus their plans for this coming year.
